Essential Eligibility Criteria (EEC)
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants, we have established the following Essential Eligibility Criteria (EEC) for our outdoor and educational activities. These criteria outline the physical and mental abilities necessary to participate in our activities:
- Physical Requirements:
- Participants must be physically and mentally able to safely walk on uneven terrain, including rocks, roots, and steep inclines, for distances ranging from 1.5 to 7.5 miles.
- Endurance:
- Participants must be capable of hiking for extended periods, typically 2-4 hours, with limited opportunities for rest.
- Environmental Tolerance:
- Participants must be prepared for exposure to varying weather conditions, including sun, wind, cold, and rain, without shelter for several hours.
- Communication:
- Participants must be willing and able to hear and follow verbal instructions provided by guides, either independently or with the assistance of a companion.
- **Water-Based Activities**:
- Participants must be able to swim independently or with the assistance of a flotation device and tolerate exposure to cold water for extended periods. Participants should also be comfortable in and around water, including moving through shallow streams or wading in deeper water where necessary.

Q: How do you handle emergency situations on the trail?
A: Our guides are trained in first aid and emergency response procedures. We carry basic first aid supplies on all hikes and have a plan in place for evacuation if necessary. Your safety is our top priority.
